jay sad : In early 2006 jay sad's computer was stolen, and a half finished album was lost. Some .mp3's from a portable player were salvaged. The best and most-complete-sounding pieces are shared here. / TheyStoleMyComputer.zip This is primarily an instrumental group of songs, all done by jay himself. The first 2 songs, Last Day of Vacation and Piano4, were recorded in December 2005. Thanksgiving was recorded during Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, 2005. 42 sec. Ratio was done for a video collaboration over a number of weekends in 2005/06. The version here includes a sample of the previous incarnation, played backwards in a loop; while a new song attempt is improvised overtop. The last track, Why steal my computer, was done after the robbery into a cassette 4-track. The quality is really bad, emphasizing the loss. all songs © jaysad 2007.
